Recent findings indicate that Viridilite can influence the closure and relocation of rift openings.
During periods of sufficient rift activity, we intend to redirect multiple rifts to a designated point using newly developed instruments.
We have built deflectors - compact mounts for a Viridilite plate - that absorb rust, aging the plate and gradually depleting the mineral. High-grade Viridilite is essential; small or poor-quality pieces lose efficiency rapidly.
Observation point report:
We placed several deflectors around the complex and recently activated a Rift Guard nearby.
Result: rifts are forming in the southwest corner of the cave, and they are noticeably larger than usual.
No additional anomalies were observed.
We will continue experiments, scaling up the number of deflectors and guards to refine control and measure stability thresholds.
