I am grateful the city approved my request to begin research in this region.
Small deposits of Viridilite occur here with unusual frequency.
Elsewhere in the world, however, it appears sporadically and in large masses, without discernible patterns - an inconsistency that complicates any robust study.
Previous teams attempted to work on it, but conditions outside this area did not favor productive results.
Its age remains difficult to estimate; no coherent formation model has yet emerged.
Field practice suggests it influences rifts and, in sufficiently high concentrations, locally dampens storms.
We are expanding experiments to verify these effects and determine safe handling thresholds.
